01

Getting started

What exactly does [COMPANY_NAME] do?

We make home technology actually work. That covers three main areas: entertainment (TVs, streaming boxes, sound, IPTV and media players), automation (lights, locks, thermostats, cameras, smart speakers) and network & security (Wi‑Fi coverage, wired points, device protection and privacy).

You can hire us to do the whole job, buy the right kit from our shop and install it yourself, or mix the two — we set up the tricky part and you handle the rest.

Which areas do you cover?

We serve [SERVICE_AREA]. If you're just outside that, get in touch anyway — we sometimes travel further for larger jobs, and a small travel fee may apply.

Remote help (streaming apps, account issues, router settings, smart‑home apps) is available anywhere we can reach you by phone or screen share.

I don't know what I need. Where do I start?

Start with a free, no‑pressure chat. Tell us the problem in your own words — “the TV buffers every night”, “Wi‑Fi dies upstairs”, “I bought a smart lock and gave up”. We'll tell you what's actually causing it, what it would cost to fix, and whether it's something you could do yourself.

Send us a message or call [PHONE_DISPLAY].

Can you help if I rent, or live in an apartment?

Yes. We're used to working around landlord rules and body‑corporate restrictions. Where drilling, cabling or permanent mounting isn't allowed, we use no‑damage alternatives such as mesh Wi‑Fi, powerline or MoCA links, freestanding mounts, adhesive‑mount sensors and removable smart bulbs.

Just let us know it's a rental when you book so we plan the right approach and can remove everything cleanly when you move.

02

Bookings & visits

How do I book an appointment?

Three ways: use the booking form, call [PHONE_DISPLAY], or email [SUPPORT_EMAIL]. Give us your suburb, what you need, and the days that suit you.

We reply within [RESPONSE_TIME] during business hours and confirm a time slot in writing before we come out.

How soon can someone come out?

Standard bookings are usually [LEAD_TIME] away. If you've got no internet, no TV or a security system that's down, say so — urgent jobs get priority and we'll often find something same‑day or next‑day.

How long will the visit take?

It depends on the job. As a rough guide: a streaming device or TV setup is 45–90 minutes, a Wi‑Fi survey and mesh install is 1–3 hours, and a multi‑room automation or camera install can run half a day or longer.

We give you an estimated duration when we confirm the booking, and we never rush out the door before you can use what we've installed.

What should I have ready before you arrive?
  • Your Wi‑Fi name and password, and access to the router.
  • Logins for any accounts involved (streaming services, Apple/Google, camera or smart‑home apps).
  • New equipment still in its boxes, plus any remotes and power adapters.
  • Clear access to the TV wall, router, meter box or wherever we'll be working.

Can't find a password? Not a problem — we can usually recover or reset it on the day.

Can I reschedule or cancel?

Of course. Let us know at least [CANCEL_WINDOW] before your slot and there's no charge. Late cancellations or no‑access visits may attract a callout fee of [CALLOUT_FEE], because the time is already reserved for you.

03

Services & devices

Which brands and devices do you work with?

We're brand‑agnostic and work with the mainstream ecosystems every day: Apple TV and HomeKit, Google TV and Home, Amazon Fire TV and Alexa, Samsung and LG smart TVs, NVIDIA Shield, Formuler, Sonos and similar audio, plus most popular camera, lock, sensor and lighting platforms.

If you already own something unusual, send us the model number and we'll tell you honestly whether we can support it.

Do you mount TVs and hide cables?

Yes — wall mounting on most surfaces, with cable concealment either through the wall or in a paintable trunking channel. We check for studs, pipes and wiring first, set the height for your seating position, and tidy everything behind the unit before we leave.

Tell us the TV size and wall type when booking so we bring the right bracket and fixings.

Will my smart home still work if the internet drops?

Partly, and that's by design. We prefer setups where the essentials run locally — light switches still switch, locks still unlock, and hubs keep local automations going without the cloud. What you lose during an outage is remote access from outside the house and some voice features.

If reliability matters to you, mention it and we'll bias the design toward local control and wired connections.

Can you work with equipment I already own?

Almost always, and we'd rather reuse than resell. We'll test what you have, tell you what's worth keeping, and only recommend a replacement when the old gear genuinely can't do the job — and we'll explain exactly why.

04

Wi‑Fi & network

My Wi‑Fi is bad in half the house. Can you fix it?

Yes, and it usually isn't your internet plan. We survey signal room by room, find what's blocking it (brick walls, foil insulation, mirrors, neighbouring networks, a router hidden in a cupboard), then fix it properly with better placement, a mesh system, a wired access point or a dedicated backhaul.

You get a before‑and‑after speed and coverage check so you can see the difference, not just take our word for it.

Is a cheap Wi‑Fi extender good enough?

Sometimes, for one quiet corner. But a basic extender typically halves throughput and creates a second network your phone clings to at the wrong moment. For whole‑home coverage, a proper mesh set or a wired access point costs a bit more and behaves far better.

We'll tell you which one your house actually needs rather than upselling by default.

Do you deal with my internet provider?

We're independent of any provider, but we're happy to run diagnostics that prove where the fault sits and give you the technical detail to take to them. If the problem is inside your home network, we fix it on the spot. If it's the line or the plan, you'll have evidence instead of a guess.

05

Shop & self install

What's in the shop, and why should I buy there?

A short, curated list — streaming and media players, mesh Wi‑Fi, cameras, smart lighting, locks and the accessories that make them work. Everything listed is gear we install in real homes, so you're not gambling on a random listing with five‑star reviews and no support.

Browse the shop.

How does self install work?

Four steps: choose your project, get the right products, follow our step‑by‑step guide, and reach out if you get stuck. The guides are written for normal people — no jargon, photos where it matters, and the common mistakes flagged up front.

See the self‑install guides.

What if I start it myself and get stuck halfway?

That's a normal outcome, not a failure. Call or message us and we'll either talk you through the last step or come out and finish it. No lectures, no “you should have booked us in the first place”.

What about delivery, returns and faulty items?

Orders ship within [DISPATCH_TIME] and delivery typically takes [DELIVERY_TIME]. Unopened items can be returned within [RETURN_WINDOW]. Faulty products are covered by the manufacturer warranty plus your rights under consumer law, and we'll help you process the claim rather than leaving you on hold.

Full detail is in our shipping & returns policy.

06

Pricing & payment

How much does it cost?

Standard callouts start at [BASE_RATE], and most common jobs are quoted as a flat price so you know the number before we start. Larger projects get a written quote after a quick site check or a few photos.

We don't charge for advice, and we don't add surprises at the end. If something unexpected turns up mid‑job, we stop and check with you first.

Are quotes free?

Yes for phone, email and photo‑based quotes. On‑site assessments for complex projects may carry a fee of [ASSESSMENT_FEE], which we credit back against the work if you go ahead.

How can I pay?

We accept [PAYMENT_METHODS]. Service work is invoiced on completion and payable within [PAYMENT_TERMS]. Larger supply‑and‑install projects may require a deposit for equipment, which is always itemised on the quote.

07

Support, warranty & privacy

What happens after the install?

We walk you through everything we set up, leave you with the logins and any notes you'll need, and stay reachable afterwards. Quick questions by phone or message are part of the service — we'd rather answer a two‑minute question than have you stop using something you paid for.

Is your work guaranteed?

Yes. Our labour is covered for [WORKMANSHIP_WARRANTY]. If something we configured stops working the way we left it, tell us and we'll put it right at no charge. Hardware is covered by its manufacturer warranty, and we'll manage the claim with you.

Will you have access to my accounts, cameras or data?

Only what's needed to do the job, only while we're doing it, and only with your say‑so. Everything is set up under your accounts, not ours. Cameras and recordings stay in your control, temporary access is removed before we finish, and we never keep copies of your credentials.

Details are in our privacy policy.

Are you insured and licensed?

Yes — we carry public liability insurance and hold [LICENCE_DETAILS]. Any work that legally requires a licensed electrician is carried out or signed off by one. Documentation is available on request before we start.

Something went wrong. How do I raise it?

Tell us directly and quickly — email [SUPPORT_EMAIL] or call [PHONE_DISPLAY]. We acknowledge complaints within [COMPLAINT_ACK] and aim to resolve them within [COMPLAINT_RESOLVE]. If we got it wrong, we fix it.

Still not sure what you need?

Tell us the symptom, not the solution. We'll diagnose it, quote it honestly, and let you decide whether we do it or you do.
